first impressions

bob; we arrived to the delhi airort at 3 in the morning but there
were plenty of touts happy to drive us for a cheap price to
the very best hotel in india
but we took the pre paid taxi as we were told by everyone
and went to the seedy backpacker area that has all the cheap hotels
it was a little scary when we got to our hotel which we couldn't get dropped off at because the alley was to narrow there.
the only people around were sleeping on the ground with the cows and the dogs
but everything was much diferent in the morning when we walked around
eventually we tried a rickshaw and a tuk tuk( 3 wheel open car )
and im impressed with the driving here which is much more my style
lots of horning and the lines on the road mean nothing
the only attraction we took in other than walking through certain areas was a
the biggest temple in india and we got a good view from the top of of a tower
we also had a man become our guide there, which was prety stupid but he was in the ticket booth talking with the oficials who took our entry money so i thought he was mandatory. until i realized later especially when he was aking for money in a hidden corner with noone around. well we gave him = not even 2 dollars but im sure he was quite happy with his day wage in 12 minutes
well this is costing me almost 40 cents an hour so i better finish up now
